External Finishes
Log
68mm thick solid pine log sourced from FSC registered sustainable forests. All timber is insect and fungus protected by using a ‘Fire Stop’ process. The completed log exteriors are given three coats of wood stain available in a range of colours.
Cedral Weatherboard
Cedral Weatherboard is a man made product designed to replicate the appearance of wood. It the ideal low maintenance, rot free alternative to traditional timber weatherboarding and can be painted to achieve a variety of finishes.
Rendalath
Rendalath is a multi-layered reinforced render carrier system with insulation, provides a durable and composite substrate for applying a high quality, high strength low maintenance rendered finish.
Brick or Stone
Full brick or stone skins can be built in place of, or together with other cladding materials.
Thermally Modified Timber
A sustainable source of European softwood timber undergoes a thermal modification process utilising high temperatures and steam. Therefore the end product is completely natural and chemical free. The process produces an altogether more durable and stable timber, and is the perfect material for withstanding continuous changes in temperature and humidity. It will last for many years without the need to apply surface treatments. The natural ageing process in our climate will cause the colour to change gradually from its original brown to a silver grey. If this is not the desired finish, as an option, the wood can be protected by a pigmented surface treatment
Internal Finishes
Walls & Ceilings
Walls and ceilings can be constructed and finished to suit the environment in which the building is to be used, these are:-
- Plasterboard with plaster skim finish, decorated to achieve Class O surface spread of flame in colours agreed with the client.
- A fibre cement panel, with finisher coat, suitable for environments where impact, water resistance and noise reduction are major factors within the design considerations, decorated to achieve Class O surface spread of flame in colours agreed with the client.
- Pine TVG internal cladding treated with an Envirograf clear intumescent coating for fire resistance.
- A range of acoustic and sound absorption products.
Doors
A range of door types and finishes are available according to the clients requirements in private dwellings and commercial settings according to function. Generally all doors are fire rated and DDA compliant.
Skirting & Architrave
As standard, all skirting and architrave are timber with a bullnose profile.
Joinery
External joinery is per design. Our standard doors and windows are constructed from high quality soft wood, and factory finished with water based paints and acrylic lacquers.
UPVC and aluminium products are also available in a variety of finishes.
Decking and Landscaping
Decking and balustrade is constructed by design, and can incorporate standard timber decking boards, or anti-slip decking boards according to application, with ‘American’ balustrade or glazed panel options.
Buildings intended for use or access by members of the public, metal railing systems are also available as an alternative.
Landscaping is by design and subject to a site survey.
